About the position
This is a locally engaged staff position at an overseas Australian Diplomatic Mission.
Under general direction this position supports the Embassy and Manager, Property and ICT with the day-to-day management of the property, transport and IT requirements of the Australian Embassy in Mexico City. You will have responsibility for setting priorities and managing workflow to ensure operational requirements are maintained. The role will liaise with internal and external clients and will articulate action needed to resolve emerging or existing issues. At times this position will have competing priorities that will need to be actioned as urgent. This position backfills the Manager, Property and ICT and provides support to other corporate sections as required. You may be required to work outside of business hours.
Work Authorization Requirements
This position is open to individuals with work permission in Mexico who speak both Spanish and English.

Additional Information
This position requires a local background check to be completed. Employment in the advertised position is dependent on the employee having or acquiring a valid DFAT probity check. Probity checks can take some time to process, and employment cannot be commenced until an appropriate check is confirmed. There is no guarantee that the successful candidate for the position will be successful in obtaining a probity check. The inability to obtain a probity check prevents that applicant from being employed and loss of a probity check at any time will lead to termination of employment.
In addition, the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs requires all local employees, Mexican nationals or foreigners to obtain accreditation in order to perform work services for foreign entities and International Organizations. The accreditation will be requested by the Embassy once the successful candidate is identified.
