The Job:
As an EHS Manager, you’ll be part of our Continuous Improvement team working as an onsite employee.
You’ll get to:
- Supervise the EHS and Medical Departments.
- Support the Human Resources Manager as required.
- Manage the EHS department budget.
- Maintain the organization's legal compliance level by managing legal procedures with relevant government agencies, and develop and implement operational controls for injury prevention, work-related health care, environmental protection, and pollution prevention.
- Develop emergency and contingency plans in case of a pandemic.
- Promote participation in and compliance with Voluntary Self-Assessment Programs promoted by government agencies regarding EHS.
- Responsible for the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management Systems and act as an internal auditor and host for management audits.
• Promote compliance with the EHS policy, including worker participation. • Actively educate personnel on the identification and prevention of environmental impacts, incidents, or health hazards arising from their work activities and the company in general.
- Communicate the plant's EHS and Health performance to Senior Management, Corporate, and stakeholders as required.
- Establish strategies to ensure compliance with plant and corporate goals and objectives.
- Liaise with Corporate EHS to report on EHS performance and implement the requirements and controls established by Corporate.
- Advise on and evaluate new projects to define EHS requirements.
- Attend audits of government management systems, legal compliance, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, and follow up on the resulting corrective actions.
- Monitoring compliance with the execution of MASS Risk Studies and Analyses.
- Participation in and monitoring of actions derived from GEMBA Walks.
- Promoting continuous EHS improvement through projects and/or updates to operational controls.
- Responsible for waste management: from generation to dispatch to authorized final disposal sites.
The Person:

- Completed degree in Environmental and Safety Engineering,
- Minimum 5 years related to the environmental and safety area.
- Ability to work in fast-paced and demanding manufacturing and NPD environments.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
