PRIMARY FUNCTION:
A. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing labor/capacity to safely & efficiently develop and execute Maintenance Plans for all production equipment/facilities and lead key maintenance processes/initiatives and people to ensure that Production, Customer Service, and Continuous Improvement objectives are met, in accordance with safety, quality, and customer requirements. In this role, you will provide coaching, development, and direction to your team, while driving accountability in the business, ultimately supporting the organization in achieving its business level and strategic goals. You must be a natural leader, motivator, hands-on problem solver, and effective mentor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Develops and implements comprehensive maintenance plans to minimize downtime.
B. Develop predictive maintenance plans and deploy on all equipment and facilities.
C. Supervise shop floor employees to ensure maintenance work orders receive correct priorities, to maximize service levels.
D. Assist & develop cost improvement teams and drive team participation in ‘Find It/Fix It’ and other CI programs.
E. Work with the Manufacturing and Production Departments to develop, schedule and plan capacity
(including attendance, vacation, and overtime management) to ensure safe, cost-effective, & efficient execution of master facilities Maintenance Plan.
F. Define key spare parts and quantities needs based on equipment type and conditions.
G. Help identify best suppliers for components and ensure high quality of supply.
H. Define and setup maintenance areas in plant – including equipment needs, tools, fixtures, and storage methods.
I. Lead the development of maintenance skill set needs considering short term and long-term site objectives.
J. Adhere to ISO 14001 policies and procedures, and you will ensure compliance within your respective department(s).
K. Have familiarity with the Emergency Response Plan.
L. Participate in workplace inspections conducted by the JHSC as defined in company procedure.
M. Implement Lean manufacturing at a departmental level through the use of lean tools and philosophies.
N. Manage capital and expense spending maintenance area. Ensure that all spending is in line both from a cost and timing perspective.
O. Develop and deploy the TPM Strategy
P. Assure environmental, health and safety requirements and regulations are satisfied when all maintenance projects are implemented.
Q. Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.
R. Promotes the company’s vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.
S. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.
