Position Purpose
The Legal Risk / Compliance Coordinator is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and assessing the company’s legal risks through the Risk Control Matrix (RCM), ensuring legal compliance and effective risk mitigation. This position will also serve as a key point of contact with the headquarters in Japan.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and validate commercial, civil, labor, and service agreements, identifying legal risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Prepare legal risk assessments and formal opinions using the Risk Control Matrix (RCM).
- Management with ERM and SOX.
- Coordinate and monitor action plans derived from identified legal risks.
- Provide legal support and advisory services to internal departments.
- Maintain direct, professional communication with headquarters in Japan.
- Prepare executive-level legal risk reports for Senior Management and the President.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Support internal and external audits related to legal risk and compliance matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law or Accounting with complementary education in law (required).
- Desirable specialization or experience in risk management, compliance, or internal control.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in contract review and legal risk analysis.
- Solid knowledge of applicable legislation (corporate, contractual, labor, and/or commercial law).
- Professional level of English (mandatory) — written, spoken, and reading proficiency.
- Experience working with international corporations or foreign headquarters is highly desirable.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per month
