Join Aon’s Global Capability Center and help shape best‑in‑class health actuarial solutions for clients around the world!
This is a hybrid role based in Mexico City, with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Mexico City office, in line with Aon’s Smart Working policy.
At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.
As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.
You will be a senior technical leader within Aon’s Global Capability Center in Mexico City, acting as a bridge between individual contributor and people leader roles. You will lead complex health actuarial analyses, coordinate project delivery, and provide day‑to‑day oversight and coaching for a small team of actuarial professionals, while maintaining a significant hands‑on technical contribution.
On a typical day, you will:

Lead the most complex health actuarial modeling and analysis assignments (IBNR and reserve studies, pricing and rate development, actuarial value and funding evaluations, experience and trend analyses, budgets and projections).
-
Serve as technical reviewer and subject matter expert, ensuring consistency and quality across models, assumptions and deliverables.
-
Develop work plans, assign tasks and monitor progress across your team and other Actuarial Team Managers on large or complex projects.
-
Review models, exhibits and analyses prepared by team members, providing structured feedback and ensuring compliance with actuarial standards, documentation requirements and internal controls.
-
Drive process improvement and automation initiatives, contributing to reusable tools, templates and model libraries.
-
Provide ongoing technical coaching, support onboarding and training, lead knowledge‑sharing sessions and act as a role model for technical excellence and professional conduct.
-
Collaborate with Health & Benefits consulting teams, actuaries and operational partners across North America and other regions, presenting methodologies, assumptions and results to internal stakeholders and supporting client‑facing teams during renewals, RFPs, pricing studies and strategic projects.
This role offers the opportunity to combine deep technical actuarial work with leadership and coordination responsibilities in a global consulting environment. You will:
-
Operate at the intersection of technical expertise and people leadership, guiding complex actuarial projects while coaching and developing analysts and senior analysts.
-
Work as part of Aon’s Global Capability Center, collaborating daily with Health & Benefits teams and actuaries across North America and other regions.
-
Influence methodologies, tools and processes used across multiple client engagements, helping to standardize and improve how Aon delivers health actuarial work globally.
-
Grow your leadership profile in a setting that values both technical depth and the ability to manage workstreams and people, creating a strong platform for future actuarial management or consulting roles.
-
Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or another quantitative field, with 7+ years of experience in health actuarial work (insurance, employee benefits consulting or related disciplines).
-
Proven track record leading complex actuarial projects or workstreams, coordinating and reviewing the work of other actuarial professionals, and mentoring/developing junior colleagues in global, cross‑functional environments.
-
Expert proficiency in Excel and health actuarial modeling (IBNR/reserving, pricing and rate development, funding/contribution strategies, forecasting and projection models), with strong ability to validate, reconcile and interpret complex datasets.
-
Significant progress toward professional actuarial credentials (SOA, IFOA, CONAC or equivalent) and demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and knowledge‑sharing.
-
Recognized as a trusted technical leader who drives process excellence, automation and innovation, and who communicates effectively with stakeholders while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic consulting environment.
