Join our team as a Quality Superintendent in Guadalajara. The objective of this role is to ensure the achievement of internal and customer quality requirements within the assigned manufacturing area or business unit by maintaining a robust and healthy quality management system, while developing and executing strategic quality plans that drive continuous improvement and ensure the attainment of defined quality targets.
Our Team
We lead the quality team in daily operations, develop and manage quality control plans, investigate and resolve quality issues, and monitor key metrics to ensure compliance with internal and customer standards. We collaborate with suppliers, conduct training sessions to promote quality awareness, and prepare performance reports for leadership. Our team actively supports continuous improvement initiatives, participates in audits, and works closely with other departments to maintain excellence in production and operations.
What You Will Do
- Lead the quality team in daily operations, prioritizing tasks and ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Develop and manage quality control plans, including inspections, audits, and testing protocols.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, documenting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor quality metrics and KPIs such as defect rates, customer returns, and supplier quality performance.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality standards and resolve supplier non-conformance issues.
- Conduct regular training sessions for employees to promote quality awareness and compliance with standards.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to leadership teams and external stakeholders.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Experience in any of the following industries: Automotive/Medical/PCB - SMT/Fiber Optics/ HSS/ Copper High Speed cables/ Molding, Cable Extrusion, etc. as tier 1 or 2 or 3 production and quality management or engineering management (as required per the manufacturing area in scope).
- Conversational English.
- Team player with excellent leadership skills including interpersonal, oral, and written capabilities coupled with a pro-active and hands-on working mentality.
- Strong Decision-making skills, sense of accountability, prioritization skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Working knowledge of Statistical analysis, SPC, PPAP, FMEA, GD&T, Gage R&R and Control Plans (in general, Core Tools).
- Working knowledge and implementing quality management system.
- Knowledge in customer requirements such as VDA, BIQS, MSA-Q1,
- CQI's related to manufacturing areas in scope, ESD, etc, Int'ld standards, internal processes.
- Statistical process control (SPC).
- FMEA, Control plan and Quality systems deep understanding.
- UL, CSA and other regulatory aspects knowledge.
- Problem solving , 8D's and six sigma.
- Know, Fulfill and Respect Policy , procedures and quality and EHS objectives, and other targeted objectives and provisions according to strategic plan , code of conduct & ethics, LFT (Ley Federal del Trabajo), RIT (Reglamento interior del trabajo) and other legal regulations applicable to Molex de México.
