We are seeking a skilled and experienced RPG Developer (IBM iSeries / AS400) to join a long-term enterprise project within the Healthcare sector.
This role focuses on application development, maintenance, and production support on IBM i environments, working closely with internal teams and business stakeholders to ensure system stability and continuous improvement.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform.
- Work with RPGLE and CL in enterprise environments.
- Handle batch jobs, job scheduling, debugging, and job servicing.
- Provide production support and resolve operational issues.
- Work with DB2 for SQL for database design and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Healthcare Provider & Payer applications.
- Interact with internal teams and clients to provide technical solutions.
- Prioritize multiple tasks and manage concurrent support activities.
- Participate in on-call support rotation (weekends from home).
- 5+ years of experience in RPG / RPGLE development
- Strong experience in IBM iSeries (AS/400) application development and maintenance
- Solid experience handling Batch Jobs, debugging, and job servicing
- Experience with Job Scheduling tools (Schedule M, Robo, RBO or similar)
- Strong knowledge of DB2 for SQL and database design
- Working knowledge of CL programming environment
- Experience providing Production Support in enterprise environments
- Experience working with ticketing tools (ServiceNow or similar)
Location: Remote in Mexico
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Advanced English (C1 preferred).
