Resumen: This position collaborates closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams to support new product introductions, engineering changes, and productivity initiatives. Responsabilidades:

Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing design solutions for new and existing products.

Evaluate product designs to ensure manufacturability (DFM) and assembly efficiency (DFA).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product performance, quality, and production costs.

Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, work instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from concept through production launch.

Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for manufacturing issues.

Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and cycle time optimization.

Design and validate manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and production equipment.

Coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and ensure proper implementation.

Perform tolerance stack-up analyses and engineering calculations.

Support prototype builds and production validation activities.

Ensure compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on engineering projects.

Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing design or product engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).

Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI).

Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD.

Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.

Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

Experience with engineering change management processes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent project management and communication abilities.

Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Experience in refrigeration, HVAC, or sheet metal manufacturing.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Project management experience.

Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferred).

Familiarity with laboratory testing and product validation.
