HML Mexico is looking for a Quality Assistant – Process / Laboratory to support the Quality Department with data collection, inspection records, process quality activities, laboratory activities, and Quality Management System documentation.
The position will support compliance with internal requirements, customer requirements, and applicable automotive quality standards, including IATF 16949.
Candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with quality documentation and inspection records, and able to communicate effectively with different departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the collection and recording of quality data from inspections, audits, and quality indicators.
- Maintain Quality Management System (QMS) documents and records updated.
- Assist in the preparation and follow-up of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and corrective actions.
- Support 8D documentation and quality problem-solving activities.
- Monitor calibration status and maintenance records for measuring equipment.
- Coordinate or request calibration services when required.
- Support internal and external quality audits.
- Prepare weekly quality performance reports.
- Maintain physical and electronic quality documentation.
- Support process inspection, product inspection, incoming material inspection, and final inspection activities.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports and formats.
- Support the monitoring of scrap, rework, and quality KPIs.
- Maintain calibration certificates and measuring equipment logs.
- Maintain document master lists and controlled records.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and other departments on quality-related activities.
Education
Technical Degree or Bachelor's Degree in progress/completed in:
- Industrial Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Quality or related field
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in Quality or a similar position.
- Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience with quality inspections and documentation.
- Experience with non-conformance control is preferred.
- Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.
