Position Overview
We are looking for a Logistics Operations Coordinator to support the daily logistics operations for one of our key customers, SDP. This is a hybrid position requiring approximately 2 to 3 days per week on-site at the customer’s factory in Tijuana. The remaining working days will be remote or from our WeWork office.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide direct on-site support to the customer, maintain efficient communication with their team, and respond quickly to changes or urgent logistics requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily logistics operations and shipment coordination for the SDP account.
- Work on-site at the customer’s factory approximately 2 to 3 days per week and communicate directly with the customer’s team.
- Coordinate container pickups, deliveries, appointments, and transportation arrangements.
- Monitor shipment and container status and follow up with carriers, warehouses, drivers, and other service providers.
- Respond promptly to last-minute changes in container pickup schedules or other customer requests.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external logistics providers to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
- Identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues and escalate matters when necessary.
- Maintain accurate shipment records, documentation, and operational updates.
- Provide timely updates to the customer and internal management regarding shipment status and operational issues.
- Perform other logistics operations duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in logistics operations, freight forwarding, transportation, supply chain, or a related field.
- Experience with ocean freight, container transportation, trucking, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work directly with customers and logistics service providers.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to last-minute operational changes.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Fluent Spanish and English preferred.
- Able to work independently and regularly travel to the customer’s factory in Tijuana.
- Compensation
- MXN 35,000-40,000 gross per month
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with approximately 2 to 3 days per week working on-site at the customer’s factory.
- Know Mandarin will be a plus.
