As a Data Analytics and Process Intelligence Engineer, you will apply advanced analytical techniques to improve coatings manufacturing. You will also identify improvement opportunities, predict quality and efficiency deviations, and transform operational data into strategic decisions that create plant.
You will report to Process Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, clean, structure, and analyze large volumes of data from production lines, sensors, ERP, and laboratory systems.
Develop interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms for real-time monitoring of manufacturing Goals.
Identify patterns, correlations, and trends in process variables (viscosity, temperature, pH, fineness, color, and equipment performance).
Perform advanced statistical analyses: Statistical Process, multivariate regression, Principal Component Analysis (PCA), and Design of Experiments.
Develop and implement predictive quality models to anticipate production batch deviations before they occur.
Implement data-driven intelligent alerts to reduce rework and batch rejections.
Translate data analysis findings into concrete process improvement actions.
Design and implement data pipelines to automate the capture and processing of process information.
Ensure governance, quality, and traceability of manufacturing data.
Implement digital batch traceability systems from raw materials to finished product.
Qualifications
Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in chemical or coatings manufacturing, with at least 2 years in data analytics or digital process engineering roles.
Desirable Certifications: Lean Six Sigma, Microsoft Power BI, Data Analyst
Experience with data visualization tools and operational dashboard development.
