About the team/ Offering
Our delivery teams support application development and cloud operations initiatives across LATAM, enabling modern cloud-native application delivery practices for enterprise clients. This role will support the MAPFRE delivery team by helping design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes environments, automation practices, and reliable DevOps operations in collaboration with development, architecture, QA, and infrastructure teams.
About the Role
Essential Job Functions:
As a DevOps Specialist, you will support application development and cloud operations initiatives across LATAM. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, supporting Kubernetes environments, automating build, testing, deployment, and release processes, and enabling modern cloud-native application delivery practices. The role includes direct interaction with Spanish-speaking stakeholders and client representatives, requiring excellent communication skills in Spanish.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Configure and manage Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines.
- Support application lifecycle management activities.
- Manage source code repositories and branching strategies using Git.
- Implement DevOps best practices across development teams.
- Deploy and support applications running on Kubernetes platforms.
- Troubleshoot deployment and infrastructure issues.
- Monitor application and platform performance.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Groovy.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, QA, and infrastructure teams.
- Improve system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis activities.
- Serve as a Spanish-speaking point of contact when required by stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of DevOps engineering experience.
- Strong experience designing and implementing CI/CD platforms and pipelines.
- Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline design, release management, and application lifecycle management.
- Experience with Kubernetes, container deployment and operations, and basic cluster troubleshooting.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and multi-cloud environments.
- Experience managing source code repositories, branching strategies, and version control best practices using Git.
- Experience developing automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Groovy.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps tools such as SonarQube and Harbor Registry.
- Experience supporting enterprise software development environments and cloud-native applications.
- Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery models.
- Experience working with distributed international teams.
- Intermediate English Level is a plus
Other Qualifications:
- Client-facing experience is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, ownership, and accountability.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with development, architecture, QA, and infrastructure teams.
- Ability to work independently in a remote LATAM environment aligned to regional time zones.
- Availability for occasional overlap with Spain-based teams is preferred.
