The Molding Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining injection molding processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role focuses on process stability, continuous improvement, scrap reduction, and supporting new product launches while collaborating with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, maintenance, and quality.
- Develop, document, and maintain robust injection molding processes for new and existing products
- Establish and optimize process parameters (temperature profiles, pressures, cycle times, cooling, etc.)
- Lead troubleshooting efforts using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve OEE, reduce scrap, and increase productivity
- Support new product launches, including mold trials, validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and process capability studies
- Monitor and analyze process performance using data and SPC tools
- Work closely with maintenance to resolve equipment and tooling issues
- Standardize work instructions, setup sheets, and process documentation
- Train technicians and operators on proper process control and best practices
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Provide ongoing support and contributions to the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2015 Management Systems.
- Execute and comply with the guidelines defined by the Integrated Management System (related standards, laws, policies, regulations, and instructions) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018.
