Reputable tour company is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic SECTUR Certified Bilingual Tour Guide with vehicle or access to vehicles with Federal plates , to lead engaging and informative tours in Mexico City. The ideal candidate possesses a deep passion for Mexican history, culture, and cuisine, and has excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.
This role requires a dynamic individual who can create memorable experiences for our diverse clientele.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct guided tours of various locations in Mexico City, including historical sites, museums, cultural attractions, and other points of interest, in both English and Spanish.
- Provide accurate and engaging commentary on the history, culture, architecture, and significance of the locations visited.
- Answer questions from tour participants in a clear, concise, and informative manner.
- Manage tour groups effectively, ensuring the safety and comfort of all participants.
- Adhere to pre-determined tour itineraries and schedules.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Handle any unforeseen situations or emergencies that may arise during a tour.
- Stay up-to-date on current events, local news, and relevant information related to Mexico City and its attractions.
- Collaborate with other tour guides, staff, and management to ensure smooth tour operations.
- Provide feedback on tour routes, content, and participant experiences to improve tour quality.
- Maintain any required certifications and licenses.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential. Must be able to communicate effectively with native speakers in both languages.
- Valid and current certification as a Tour Guide in Mexico City. Specify any required certifications (e.g., federal or local).
- Proven experience as a tour guide in Mexico City. Specify the desired number of years of experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Mexico City's history, culture, art, architecture, and cuisine.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and interact with diverse groups of people.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
