Principal Software Engineer role focused on designing and delivering resilient Core Java services on cloud native AWS platforms & Linux Azure/OpenShift AWS/1CP/Github in a hybrid work model. The role involves owning complex systems mentoring engineers and ensuring high quality secure and scalable solutions that support critical business capabilities and create positive impact for global customers.
Responsibilities
Domain Experience - Air OFFER Air Exchanges
Design robust Core Java applications that address complex business challenges while ensuring maintainability scalability and long term performance for enterprise systems
Develop secure and efficient microservices using Core Java on AWS environments to support high availability and low latency for customer facing and internal platforms
Implement clean coding practices reusable components and standardized patterns in Core Java so that engineering teams can accelerate delivery and reduce defects
Optimize application performance by analyzing production metrics tuning Java code refining database interactions and improving resource usage on AWS infrastructure
Collaborate with product managers and architects to translate business requirements into technical designs that deliver measurable value and align with long term technology strategy
Review design documents code changes and deployment configurations to ensure that solutions follow best practices in Core Java development and AWS based cloud architectures
Provide technical guidance to engineering teams by clarifying design decisions explaining tradeoffs and demonstrating effective use of Core Java frameworks and AWS services
Establish automated testing strategies including unit tests integration tests and regression tests to maintain reliability and reduce production incidents across Java services
Coordinate with DevOps and cloud operations partners to define deployment pipelines monitoring dashboards and alerting rules that keep Java workloads stable on AWS platforms
Address production issues by performing root cause analysis stabilizing services and driving permanent fixes that reduce recurrence and improve system resilience over time
Document technical solutions design decisions and operational runbooks so that teams can understand system behavior and respond quickly to incidents or enhancement requests
Mentor engineers by sharing practical insights on Core Java cloud native patterns and secure coding so that team capability increases and delivery quality consistently improves
Promote inclusive collaboration by encouraging knowledge sharing constructive feedback and continuous improvement within the engineering community in a hybrid work environment
Qualifications
Demonstrate extensive experience delivering large scale enterprise applications using Core Java including object oriented design collections concurrency and performance tuning
Apply strong proficiency in building cloud native applications using AWS services such as compute storage networking and managed databases in complex distributed environments
Utilize deep knowledge of design patterns and architectural principles for microservices event driven integration and modular design to create maintainable and extensible systems
Bring hands on expertise with testing frameworks build tools and dependency management in Java ecosystems so that software quality and reliability remain consistently high
Show practical experience in secure coding practices data protection and compliance aware design for applications deployed on public cloud platforms in regulated industries
Possess strong problem solving skills and analytical thinking to diagnose issues across application code infrastructure and integrations while maintaining focus on customer outcomes
Exhibit experience mentoring engineers conducting technical reviews and supporting career growth in a way that builds a healthy engineering culture and sustained delivery excellence
