PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR TRAINEE
Management Development / Reserve Cadre Program
Location: Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, Mexico (on-site at plant)
Positions: 2 (two)
Reports to: Plant Manager / Production Supervisor
Shift: 1-3 shifts
English requirement: Professional working proficiency in English is required (reading/writing/speaking); this role interfaces with the company's international/Chinese headquarters, so English is used for reports and cross-border communication.
Position Summary
- We are hiring Production Supervisor Trainees (Reserve Cadre / Management-in-Training) for our manufacturing plant in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila. You will rotate through core production areas (production follow-up, quality, warehousing/logistics, and shift-leader support) for 6 months, then confirm the final position. In this role, you will acquire the skill to conduct preventive and corrective maintenance actions, provide support for production management, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to performance validation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Production floor support & monitoring: assist the shift supervisor in executing the daily production plan; track output, yield, scrap and downtime; escalate abnormalities (equipment stops, quality deviations, material shortages).
- Quality & process follow-up: support first-piece confirmation and patrol inspection with Quality; participate in non-conformance analysis and corrective actions; learn and maintain SOPs.
- Team & shift coordination: help organize shift-start meetings, communicate tasks and safety notices, compile attendance/working-hour data, and support on-the-job training of new operators.
- Data & reporting: consolidate daily KPIs (production, yield, downtime) in Excel; prepare daily/weekly production reports; participate in 5S and continuous-improvement (Lean) activities.
QualificationsRequired
- Technical degree or bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, Plastics/Polymer, or a related field.
- Recent graduate or up to 2 years of manufacturing experience (automotive, plastic injection, or maquiladora experience is a plus).
- English: professional working proficiency (required) – you will read/write reports and communicate with the international management team in English.
- Spanish: fluent (required for shop-floor work in Mexico).
- Working knowledge of Excel; willing to work on the shop floor, on rotative shifts, and occasional overtime.
Preferred
- Exposure to injection molding, extrusion or assembly processes.
- Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing / 5S / continuous improvement.
- Chinese language ability is a plus (used with the company's Chinese management), but not required.
