Safebox LLC provides strategic IT leadership, robust security, and operational excellence tailored specifically for mid-market enterprises. We are seeking a Regional Lead - IT/OT Manufacturing Plant (English Speaking - remote) to work with our manufacturing client. The Regional Lead will be responsible for managing and leading the IT and OT environment within a manufacturing plant, ensuring infrastructure stability, security, availability, and modernization. The individual will work closely with plant leadership, onsite engineers, vendors, and business stakeholders while driving operational excellence and supporting business-critical production systems.
Strong VMware expertise is considered a critical requirement, particularly in vSphere administration, ESXi troubleshooting, cluster management, and Lenovo/HP server hardware environments.
The ideal candidate should be a strong technical leader with deep hands-on expertise across the IT infrastructure stack, including:
- Network (Routing, Switching, Firewalls, VLANs, VPNs)
- Servers and Operating Systems (Windows/Linux)
- VMware vSphere, ESXi, Hyper-V, and virtualization platforms
- Azure Hybrid Cloud
- Enterprise Storage (Pure, EMC, NetApp, Dell, HPE)
- Manufacturing IT/OT technologies, including MES, SCADA, and ERP integrations
- Cybersecurity, ITIL processes, incident management, and root cause analysis
- Managed Services experience
- Team leadership and stakeholder management
Required Experience:
- 8+ years Manufacturing IT/OT Leadership: managing IT infrastructure in manufacturing, industrial, or plant environments, with hands-on exposure to production-critical systems, MES/SCADA, ERP integrations, and plant-floor operations.
- 5+ years VMware / Virtualization: hands-on administration of VMware vSphere and ESXi, including cluster management, troubleshooting, performance optimization, high availability, and virtualization lifecycle management, with experience supporting Lenovo and/or HPE server hardware.
- 8+ years Enterprise Infrastructure: managing and troubleshooting enterprise networks, servers, operating systems, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and storage environments, with strong hands-on experience across Windows and Linux.
- 3+ years Hybrid Cloud & Infrastructure Modernization: managing hybrid infrastructure environments, including Microsoft Azure, on-premises data centers, virtualization, storage, and cloud connectivity, with experience supporting modernization of legacy infrastructure.
- 5+ years Technical Leadership & Managed Services: leading infrastructure teams and/or managed service providers, with responsibility for incident management, root cause analysis, ITIL processes, cybersecurity, vendor management, and stakeholder communication.
- English proficiency sufficient for daily collaboration, technical documentation, incident response, and real-time communication with US-based stakeholders, plant leadership, vendors, and technical teams during critical production events.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, aligned to US business hours; flexibility for implementation events in US Pacific and Hawaii–Aleutian time zones
- Overtime, weekend, and holiday work required during implementation and cutover windows
Work Location: fully remote
Engagement Duration
- 6 months plus support through the end of 2027
Rate: Up to USD $5000/mo gross
