The Product Engineer plays a key role in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing assembly technologies and production processes at our Mexico facility. This position is responsible for ensuring product engineering solutions meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives while aligning with corporate standards and customer requirements.
The Product Engineer partners closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, resolve technical challenges, and enhance product manufacturability and reliability through innovative engineering solutions and data-driven decision-making.
This role is instrumental in supporting successful new product launches and managing products throughout their lifecycle, contributing to the company's long-term operational and business success.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field

3+ years of experience in Product Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, preferably supporting manufacturing assembly processes

Strong knowledge of manufacturing assembly technologies and production processes

Proficiency with CAD software and data analysis tools

Fluent in English and Spanish with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience in the automotive, composites, or industrial manufacturing industry

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies

Familiarity with quality management systems such as IATF 16949

Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 5 Whys, or Root Cause Analysis

Project management experience with the ability to lead cross-functional teams

Develop and implement manufacturing assembly technologies (MAT) to improve product quality and production efficiency

Collaborate with Design Engineering to review product designs for manufacturability and recommend process improvements

Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product and process issues identified during manufacturing

Support new product introductions by developing process documentation, work instructions, and training materials

Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure component quality and process capability

Participate in cross-functional project teams to support product launch schedules, cost objectives, and customer requirements
Success in this role requires the ability to design and optimize manufacturing processes that achieve high standards of quality, efficiency, and reliability. Strong CAD and data analysis skills are essential for evaluating product designs and manufacturing performance. Excellent communication and collaboration skills enable effective coordination with engineering, production, suppliers, and customers.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies supports a culture of continuous improvement by reducing waste, improving process capability, and driving operational excellence. Strong project management and analytical skills enable the Product Engineer to successfully lead initiatives that improve product performance and support business objectives.
