Location: Remote / Hybrid with operations based in Mexico and the UK – offices in CDMX and London
Salary: Depending on experience and hours per week // est. monthly $15,000-$25,000 MXN
Description: The aim of the Finance and Administration Lead (Coordinador/a Administrativa y Financiera) is to support the running of Girls United globally. The role requires working across both Mexico and London companies, overseeing the finance and administration of the organisation's activities. The role will require an individual who can:
- Understand finance and accounting principles of a global organisation
- Support a Finance Strategy to support the growth of the company
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively across the organisation
- Improve internal structures and governance
The Finance and Administration Lead will be responsible for (but not exclusive to):
- Managing payments, bookkeeping and tracking financial performance of the organisation’s operations globally – including: administering invoices and expenses claims received, code items to agreed budgets, and action payments
- Liaising with providers of accounting, legal and HR services in order to optimise the governance of the organisation
- Supporting the recruitment and induction of team members and improving internal team management processes
- Create forecasts based on financial performance, review budgets and prepare regular reports
- Identify and implement necessary organisational policies and procedures
Essential Qualities and Qualifications:
- Language - must be bilingual: advanced level in English and Spanish
- Experiences – experience working in the Charity Sector
- Experiences – minimum 5 years experience in finance and/or administrative roles
- Skills - advanced capacity for working spreadsheets and ease to use business tools ( Slack, Xero, G-Suite)
- Organisational skills - must be able to manage workload across two entities (Mexico and UK)
- Growth mindset – must be a quick learner willing to understand business administration in both contexts and resourceful in building knowledge
- Adaptability and flexibility – must have an excellent capacity to problem solve in order to succeed in fast pace environments
Desirable Qualities and Qualifications:
- Qualifications – accountancy qualification in the UK OR Mexico (eg. Contador Público Certificado / CCAB / CIPFA / ACCA)
- Knowledge or experience in human resources and/or legal departments
