Determines appropriate inspection processes and directs IQC/SQE personnel, where applicable, in operating within area of assigned responsibility with a high level of efficiency, integrity and enthusiasm, while striving to achieve excellence in all endeavors.
Responsabilities:
- Develop and implement Supply base strategies for Quality Improvements and Cost Savings.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external customer requirements.
- Provide regular updates to Quality Manager on execution of the strategy.
- Participate in the Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) process as required.
- Resolve production critical supplier issues and implement Corrective Actions (CA).
- Define and develop appropriate Inspection Plans (IP) and Inspection Methods (IM), direct Receiving Inspection Auditors (RIA).
- Monitor and drive Parts Per Million (PPM) issues with the supply base.
- Review all Supplier discrepancies. Coordinate and track the Corrective/Preventative Action (CAPA) effort
Requirements:
- +4 year’s experience in similar roles, Quality or Manufacturing Engineering
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong electro / mechanical background desired; knowledge of plastic injection molding & tooling, metal stampings & tooling, metal fabrication, machining and various electrical components, connectors, PCB & PCBA, cable assembly, full assembly integration etc.
- Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Understanding of the quality system, medical and commercial regulatory requirements and how they relate to the business.
