Your Role
The HR Compliance Specialist - LATAM will support HR compliance and employee relations activities across assigned countries in the Latin America region. This role works closely with HR partners, Legal Capability teammates, and regional compliance resources to help ensure alignment with local labor and employment requirements.
This is an role designed for candidates with foundational HR experience who are building depth in HR compliance, employment law, and risk-based decision making.
Our Team
The HR Compliance will support HR compliance activities for assigned Koch facilities and/or companies within the LATAM region, under the direction of the LATAM Employee Relations & Compliance Leader.
What You Will Do
- Monitor and track changes in labor and employment laws and HR regulatory requirements across assigned LATAM countries; escalate relevant developments to senior HRC resources.
- Support impact and risk assessments related to labor/employment law updates; assist with recommending updates to HR policies, practices, and guidance.
- Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of HR policies, guidelines, templates, and tools to support compliance and consistency across the region.
- Provide day-to-day HR compliance advisory support to HR partners, applying risk-based and practical lens.
- Support employee relations and investigation efforts, including research, documentation, and coordination with HR and Legal as needed.
- Assist with audits and regulatory reviews, including preparation of materials and follow-up on action items.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing efforts, including lessons learned from employee relations cases, audit findings, or compliance trends.
- Support the development of capability-building materials and training for HR and people leaders related to employment law, compliance expectations, and HR best practices.
- Build collaborative relationships with HR teams and be viewed as a responsive, reliable compliance partner.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines with appropriate guidance

- Comfort applying a risk-based and business-oriented mindset
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 1-3 years of HR experience (HR generalist, employee relations, or HR operations experience preferred)
- Exposure to HR policies, compliance requirements, or employee relations processes
- Proficiency in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese (written and verbal, depending on country scope)
- Foundational understanding of HR compliance and employment law concepts in Latin America
- Strong learning agility, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience supporting HR compliance or employment law matters in one or more LATAM countries
- Experience assisting with policy development, audits, or employee-facing communications
- Experience collaborating with Legal, Compliance, or Audit teams
- Demonstrated interest in building expertise in HR compliance and employee relations
