Job Description
We are looking for a Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud platforms. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation, and observability practices. This role will be instrumental in enabling development teams through modern platform engineering principles and cloud-native technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Lead and support cloud migration initiatives from on-premises environments to GCP.
- Build, manage, and optimize Kubernetes platforms (GKE) and serverless solutions (Cloud Run).
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Design and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and automated software delivery.
- Implement platform observability, monitoring, and alerting strategies using Dynatrace and cloud-native tools.
- Define, measure, and improve Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to enhance platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and platform issues while driving continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including GKE and Cloud Run.
- Experience leading or supporting cloud migration projects from on-premises to GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
- Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD automation pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of observability concepts, monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing.
- Hands-on experience with Dynatrace for application performance monitoring (APM), infrastructure monitoring, distributed tracing, dashboards, alerting, and root cause analysis.
- Experience implementing and managing SLIs, SLOs, and reliability metrics.
- Strong troubleshooting, automation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GitOps practices and tools.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles.
- Relevant Google Cloud and Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience with multi-cloud environments.
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies.
- Experience with cost optimization and FinOps practices.
- Familiarity with incident management and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per month
