The Manufacturing Manager will be supporting our Displays Business Unit, establishing and directing manufacturing labor, material resources, practices, processes, procedures, facilities, tools and equipment for production.
This position utilizes “lean manufacturing” principles to minimize inventory, maximize throughput, and optimize facility utilization.
The position requires broad technical experience in a high mix, low volume, fast growing manufacturing environment.
The team includes electro-mechanical assembler, optical bonder, inspector, test technicians and manufacturing engineers.
The manufacturing manager will also be supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) of multiple products in a short time to the market environment.
Job duties:
- Insure that manufacturing capacity and skillset activities will satisfy contractual obligations
- Review and insure production capacity in terms of human resources and equipment is adequate
- Define human resources need, define roles, hire new talent and manage performance
- Review production activities as required and execution mitigation plan to insure on-time and quality objectives are achieved
- Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement
- Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations
