Junior Accounting & Administrative Assistant
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accounting & Administrative Assistant to support our accounting, administrative, and human resources functions. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will assist with bookkeeping, accounts payable, office administration, employee support, and general HR coordination while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Perform daily bookkeeping and financial record maintenance.
- Process and track Accounts Payable (AP) transactions.
- Reconcile invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
- Assist with monthly account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and records.
- Support the accounting team with administrative finance tasks.
Administrative Support
- Manage office supply inventory and coordinate purchases as needed.
- Coordinate office activities and administrative operations.
- Organize and maintain company records and files.
- Schedule meetings and assist with calendar management.
- Handle travel arrangements, including hotel accommodations, airfare reservations, and transportation logistics.
Human Resources Support
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Track and maintain PTO (Paid Time Off) records.
- Coordinate maternity leave and other employee leave requests.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Support employee communications and HR-related administrative activities.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, administrative support, or HR-related roles.
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and Accounts Payable processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with accounting software is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
