Job Description
This is a fully on-site position based in the Bahamas.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Inventory & Cost Control Manager to support large-scale construction operations in the Caribbean. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate cost management, inventory integrity, and financial control across materials, equipment, and project-related expenditures.
This is a fully on-site role based in the Bahamas, requiring close, day-to-day collaboration with construction, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure operational and financial excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Costing & Financial Control

Lead the development and maintenance of standard costs for materials across project cycles

Update and analyze material costs in compliance with corporate guidelines and SOX internal controls

Conduct detailed variance analysis (materials, labor, overhead, and volume), identifying root causes and driving corrective actions

Perform Product Cost Study (PCS) activities and support financial planning initiatives

Prepare and analyze reports on standard vs. actual costs, budget variances, and product/project profitability

Support monthly financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting
Inventory Management & Operations

Maintain accurate inventory records for construction materials, equipment, and consumables

Monitor stock levels and align availability with construction schedules and demand forecasts

Oversee material receiving, inspection, storage, and handling processes on-site

Conduct cycle counts and inventory reconciliations, resolving discrepancies proactively

Ensure bill of materials (BOM) accuracy and integrity of inventory data
-
Implement processes to minimize material loss, damage, and waste
Process Improvement & Reporting

Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control, costing processes, and reporting metrics

Enhance processes across budgeting, forecasting, BOMs, routings, and inventory controls

Develop and maintain inventory and cost analysis reports, providing actionable insights

Support implementation of new product releases and related cost structures

Ensure compliance with internal control procedures to maintain financial integrity and mitigate risk
Qualifications
-
Minimum 5+ years of experience in finance, cost accounting, or inventory control (construction industry preferred)
-
Proven experience in inventory analysis, variance analysis, and financial reporting
-
Strong knowledge of internal controls and compliance frameworks (SOX preferred)
-
Experience working in large-scale or international construction projects is highly desirable

Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP or similar) and project management tools such as Procore
-
Utilize and optimize corporate systems such as SAP (PentaSAP), CMIS, MPCS, EBOM, ICBS, SIR, CHAMPS, among others
-
Maintain documentation and record retention programs (requisitions, purchase orders, GR/IR, etc.)

Ensure alignment with corporate accounting policies and audit requirements
