Anovia is seeking a QA Automation Tester (Independent Contractor) to support a telecommunications client engagement on an ongoing basis, at approximately 20 hours per month. In this role, you will execute regression and performance testing within the staging environment ahead of production releases, manage defects through Jira, and participate in monthly milestone reviews with the client's development team and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with modern test automation tooling and is comfortable working independently on a flexible, part-time basis. Strong communication skills are important, since this role involves regular collaboration with a client-facing development team across scheduled review milestones.
- Execute regression and performance test suites within the staging environment prior to each production release.

Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions with stakeholders ahead of production releases.

Log, track, and manage software defects continuously using Jira.

Collaborate with the client's developers and stakeholders during monthly milestone reviews (Alpha 1, Alpha 2, Beta, and Go-Live).

Communicate testing status and defect trends clearly to the project team.
- Demonstrated expertise in test automation frameworks, specifically Selenium, Appium, and Playwright.

Experience integrating tests within a modern CI/CD flow using GitHub, GitHub Actions, and JFrog image repositories.

Familiarity with code quality and security scanning tools, including SonarQube and HP Fortify.

Understanding of testing within cloud-native architectures (AWS EC2) and modern technology stacks including .NET Core, NodeJS, and Vue.js.

Proven ability to work efficiently in an Agile management environment.

Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, sufficient to collaborate with an English-speaking team and participate in project meetings.

Must be legally able to contract directly with an in-country business entity based in Brazil, Colombia, or Mexico.

Must be able to provide a valid local tax identifier (e.g., CPF or CNPJ in Brazil, NIT or cédula in Colombia, RFC in Mexico) for invoicing and tax reporting purposes.
Candidates with experience in any of the following areas will be given preference:
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.

Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.

Familiarity with mobile device testing labs or cloud device farms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).

Prior experience supporting telecommunications client environments.

Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
