Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Procurement Deployment Leader – EMS in our Monterrey, Mexico location.
The EMS/CM commodity group belongs to the Global Supply Chain EE market, covering PCBA and Fabricated Finished Goods for Schneider Electric. This role will also support strategic procurement activities across key direct material categories, including:

This position plays a critical role in connecting Global Procurement, Regional Procurement, Engineering, Supply Chain, and suppliers to drive deployment projects, supplier performance, cost optimization, and business continuity.

Lead supplier relationships across EMS/CM and metal component categories, including Fasteners, Sheet Metal, Metal Stampings, Machining & Turning, Lugs and Neutral Bars, Copper, Steel, and other Non-Ferrous Materials.

Facilitate SKU transfers from internal factories to EMS/CM partners and vice versa.

Act as Procurement Lead for deployment projects, partnering closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful project execution.

Drive supplier development initiatives, productivity improvements, and cost reduction projects across assigned categories.

Collaborate with Category Managers to identify sourcing opportunities and achieve best-cost solutions for new product launches and ongoing production.

Communicate supplier strategies, market trends, and material risks to internal stakeholders.

Identify and implement engineering changes, supplier transitions, and dual-sourcing strategies to improve competitiveness and supply resilience.

Consolidate business requirements from Schneider Electric entities and define opportunities for supplier growth and strategic partnerships.

Lead commercial negotiations related to pricing, productivity, service levels, and supplier performance objectives.

Organize regular business reviews and executive meetings with suppliers to monitor strategic plan deployment and performance.

Support Supplier Relationship Management activities, including performance reviews, cost updates, risk assessments, and continuous improvement plans.

Project Management experience in a manufacturing or procurement environment.

Strong understanding of Contract Manufacturing (EMS/CM) and strategic sourcing practices.

Experience managing suppliers within one or more of the following categories:

Machined Components / Turning

Electrical Hardware (Lugs, Neutral Bars, Busbars)

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

3+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Development, or Category Management.

Previous experience sourcing metal components, fabricated parts, or electromechanical commodities is highly preferred.

Demonstrated experience negotiating with suppliers in a complex, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders while aligning with global procurement and EMS/CM strategies.

Proven track record of delivering cost reduction, supplier performance improvements, risk mitigation, and deployment project results.

Strong analytical skills, including market analysis and supplier cost structure evaluation.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time.

Team player who is proactive, accountable, customer-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
