Senior MuleSoft Architect – API-led Integration

Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced MuleSoft Architect to design and deliver end-to-end integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. This role is focused on building a self-sufficient team in LATAM capable of independently executing complex MuleSoft implementations across enterprise environments.
The ideal candidate combines strong architectural capabilities with hands-on technical expertise and has a proven track record delivering API-led integration platforms at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end integration architectures using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
- Define and govern API-led connectivity (System, Process, Experience layers)
- Lead the design of scalable, secure, and high-performance integration solutions
- Develop and review MuleSoft applications, including DataWeave transformations
- Define best practices for error handling, logging, monitoring, and API versioning
- Oversee API governance, standards, and reusable integration assets
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and mentoring of development teams
- Ensure successful delivery of complex integration projects across distributed environments
- Support CI/CD implementation and environment management across dev, QA, and production
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft (Mule 4)
- Strong expertise in Anypoint Platform (API Manager, Runtime Manager, CloudHub)
- Proven experience implementing API-led connectivity in enterprise environments
- Advanced knowledge of DataWeave 2.0
- Experience designing and delivering complex integration solutions end-to-end
- Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations
- Experience with CloudHub deployments and runtime optimization
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git-based)
- Experience working with high-volume, scalable, and distributed systems
- English
Nice to Have:
- MuleSoft Platform Architect Certification (MCPA)
- Experience with SAP, Salesforce, or other enterprise systems
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture (Kafka, MQ, etc.)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience working with multi-country or enterprise LATAM deployments
