Position Overview
An international technology company is seeking PCBA Diagnostic & Repair Engineers to participate in an international project with a major global technology client.
The position includes an initial 3-month assignment in Hungary, where the engineer will perform specialized activities related to PCBA and electronic board diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and failure analysis.
During this assignment, accommodation, meals, transportation, and travel insurance will be provided.
Upon successful completion of the 3-month assignment in Hungary, there is an opportunity to continue the project in Louisville, Kentucky, United States, with an annual salary of $49,000 USD and TN Visa sponsorship, subject to meeting the applicable immigration requirements.
Compensation & Benefits:
PHASE 1 – HUNGARY | 3 MONTHS
- $37,000 – $39,000 MXN per month
- Accommodation provided

- Travel insurance provided (CHUBB or Employer)
- Compensation during this phase will be paid in Mexican pesos under an independent contractor/freelance fee-based arrangement.
PHASE 2 – LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY, USA
- US $49,000 USD per year
- TN Visa Sponsorship
- Opportunity to continue the project in the United States
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of PCBAs and electronic boards.
- Identify and isolate failures at the circuit and component level.
- Analyze symptoms and abnormal behavior in electronic boards.
- Perform electrical measurements to identify the root cause of failures.
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and PCB layouts.
- Identify defective electronic components.
- Perform electronic component repairs and replacements.
- Perform component soldering and desoldering processes.
- Conduct SMD and Through-Hole component rework.
Use specialized tools and equipment for electronic diagnostics and repair.
- Perform post-repair testing to validate proper PCBA functionality.
- Document identified failures, repairs performed, and test results.
- Follow established technical procedures and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve PCBArelated issues.
Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Degree certificate and Professional License are required.
- Experience in PCBA or electronic board diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Experience performing component-level repair.
- Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
- Experience reading and interpreting schematics and PCB layouts.
- Hands-on experience with SMD and Through-Hole components.
- Experience using diagnostic and repair tools, including:
- Digital multimeter.
- Oscilloscope.
- DC power supply. Soldering station.
- Hot air rework station.
- Microscope.
- Knowledge of short-circuit detection and analysis.
- Ability to perform diagnostics and repairs following technical procedures.
- Advanced English proficiency – required.
- Willingness to travel and remain in Hungary for 3 months.
- Willingness to subsequently work in Louisville, Kentucky, United States.
This position offers the opportunity to gain professional experience in Europe and the United States while participating in an international project within the technology industry.
