The HSE Digital Applications & Platform Specialist (DT Focus) is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and deploying enterprise HSE digital platforms with a strong emphasis on DT systems, cloud environments, and data integration. This role plays a key part in enabling successful upgrades of platforms such as Sphera Intelligent Authoring used by the Global Chemicals Regulatory Affairs (GCRA) Team and translating their regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions.
As an HSE Digital Applications & Platform Specialist, you will be responsible for:

Supporting the lifecycle management of enterprise HSE applications, including upgrades, patches, and performance optimization, to ensure system stability, availability, and high user satisfaction as measured through ServiceNow or similar platforms.

Enabling Content Design Workshops (CDWs) with GCRA Team by supporting regulatory reviews and translating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) updates into system configurations.

Contributing to application roadmap activities and support digital product lifecycle execution aligned with business and DT strategy.

Supporting design, configuration, testing, and deployment of platform enhancements ensuring quality and scalability.

Preparing and managing Azure-based environments (Dev, Pre-Production, Production) ensuring readiness for deployments.

Executing application upgrades by validating changes in Pre-Production environments and promoting releases to Production.

Ensuring server readiness, system stability, and rollback planning during deployments.

Supporting integration across platforms (Sphera, SAP, data platforms like Databricks, API’s).

Providing hands-on troubleshooting, system monitoring, and performance optimization.

Collaborating with Digital Technology, HSE, and vendor teams to ensure reliable platform delivery.

Maintaining system documentation, configurations, and user support materials.

Supporting compliance with DT policies, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.
To be successful in this role you will:

Have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Have experience in DT application support, enterprise systems, or digital platforms (typically 5+ years).

Have hands-on experience with Azure cloud environments including Dev, Pre-Production, and Production setups.

Have experience supporting application upgrades, release management, and environment promotion strategies.

Have Knowledge of data and integration technologies including SQL, APIs, and enterprise platforms.

Have experience with troubleshooting, system performance monitoring, and issue resolution.

Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate GCRA Team requirements into technical solutions.

Demonstrate familiarity with Waterfall and Agile (Scrum or Kanban) project delivery methodologies, as well as ITIL-based service management frameworks.

Have effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.

Ideally have experience with HSE systems, Hazard Communication (HazCom) education and training, SDS management and product labeling, Sphera platforms, and regulatory compliance environments.
