About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager Latam, the Commercial Manager will be responsible for the Commercial Execution in Latam. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring ambitious performance objectives are met across the Latam Region. These objectives include achieving the Company’s revenue and profit targets, maximising growth opportunities, and helping to steer the Company through a period of change.
The Commercial Manager will ensure adherence to Pharmanovia’s values and policies, as well as business conduct requirements and legislation. S/he will work to ensure a strong, collaborative team culture and strategic alignment with Company strategies and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales of our product portfolio in Mexico, Central America, and South America, achieving annual targets for top-line and profitability.
- Follow up on secondary sales and promotional efforts across all channels: wholesalers, pharmacy chains, hospitals, tenders, and other commercial channels.
- Identifying, proposing, and implementing novel ways to grow our business organically, including new product opportunities and sales and marketing initiatives at various levels and targeting different audiences (wholesalers, retailers, pharmacy chains, KOLs, specialist prescribers, etc.).
- Support the regional business planning and budgeting, in terms of volume and profitability
- Ensure effective sales process management, forecasting and reporting accuracy from partners.
- Maintain service levels to key stakeholders.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the market, economic indicators, changing trends, and competition.
- Nurture and manage existing relationships to ensure the longevity of profitable partnerships.
- Establish good relationships with the partner and build relevant personal networks to ensure the Company exploits all appropriate sales channels.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a commercial professional with 5-10 years of experience with a relevant background in the pharmaceutical industry. S/he will:
- Be commercially astute, with a track record of high sales achievement in a pharmaceutical environment. Experience of managing key accounts ideally in the context of off-patent, branded generics and/or speciality products.
- Knowledge of the pharma market, especially in Mexico.
- Have advanced experience in developing and implementing sales strategy, ideally in the context of branded generics and/or speciality products.
- Be a pragmatic individual who enjoys being involved in the business’s growth and working in a matrix organisation.
- Be able to demonstrate professional gravitas and strong influence skills and display personal and professional maturity.
- Be business-driven, fully accustomed to managing the Company’s business area through financial analysis and reporting.
- Be a results-driven individual with experience and/or relevant skills in terms of working and partnering with external client stakeholders as well as internal teams.
- Be data-driven in decision-making, with the ability to analyse complex situations, focus on the key issues and communicate within the team with clarity and conciseness.
- Can work cross-functionally and persuasively in order to make change happen.
- Experience of running a business within a clear Compliance environment.
