Position Overview
We are seeking a Customs & Trade Compliance Supervisor to oversee IMMEX operations, customs compliance, inventory control, and trade regulations within a manufacturing environment. This role will ensure full compliance with Mexican customs regulations, Annex 24 and Annex 31 requirements, IVA/IEPS certification, and international trade agreements while supporting operational efficiency and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Customs & IMMEX Compliance
Manage and maintain Annex 24 and Annex 31 systems.
Monitor temporary imports and ensure timely return compliance.
Coordinate and manage relationships with customs brokers (Agentes Aduanales).
Review and ensure accuracy of customs documentation, including pedimentos.
Oversee virtual operations, COVEs, and inventory control processes.
Ensure compliance with IMMEX regulations and Mexican Customs Law.
Audits & Certifications
Coordinate and support SAT and Secretaría de Economía (SE) audits.
Maintain compliance with IVA/IEPS certification requirements.
Support OEA and C-TPAT certification programs.
Manage corrective and preventive actions resulting from audits and compliance reviews.
Inventory & Trade Operations
Supervise inventory reconciliation processes and fixed asset controls.
Manage origin documentation and USMCA compliance requirements.
Ensure traceability and proper documentation of imported materials and finished goods.

Bachelors degree in International Trade, Customs, Logistics, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in customs, IMMEX operations, or trade compliance within manufacturing or maquiladora environments.

Strong knowledge of Mexican Customs Law, IMMEX regulations, SAT audits, and foreign trade compliance.

Mandatory experience managing Annex 24 and Annex 31.

Solid understanding of pedimentos, virtual operations, COVEs, inventory control, and customs compliance procedures.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Odoo, or similar.

Experience with Power BI, EDI, Tress, CONTPAQi, WMS, and traceability systems is preferred.

Knowledge of OEA, C-TPAT, and IVA/IEPS certification requirements.

Experience in food or pet food manufacturing environments, including BRCGS, COA, and traceability systems, is a plus.

Gross monthly salary: Depending on experience
