Description of Buyer Position:
- Manages the purchasing process by preparing and generating purchase orders, requesting material quotations, and negotiating prices, terms, and conditions with authorized suppliers. Prepare and analyze requests for quotation (RFQs) and drive competitive bidding processes Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve cost savings and mitigate risk Lead supplier performance management, including KPIs, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure material specifications and requirements are met Lead cross-functional projects related to procurement and supply chain optimization Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to enhance collaboration and performance Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members when applicable. Maintains adherence to internal policies, ethical business practices, and international trade compliance requirements, including OEA and CTPAT standards. Project Management and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Manages procurement projects from strategy through implementation while partnering with finance, operations, legal, and logistics teams. Oversees multiple initiatives focused on savings, efficiency, and risk mitigation. Strategic Procurement and Supplier Negotiations: Leads sourcing and procurement activities for high-value categories, driving cost savings through supplier negotiations, competitive bidding, and contract management. Ensures commercial value, risk reduction, and compliance with company policies. Cost Management and Savings Initiatives: Develops and executes cost-reduction strategies through spend analysis, market evaluations, and supplier optimization initiatives. Tracks and reports realized savings aligned with financial objectives.
Experience & Requirements:
Experience:
- English (Written and spoken) - 5 years• Negotiation, analytical and problem solving - 5 years• Strong leadership and strategic mindset with the ability to influence cross functional teams - 3 years• ERP Systems like Oracle, SAP - 3 years• Experience in Supply Chain - +5 years
Education:
- Bachelors - Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Business, or related field
