Solutions Architect / Technical Lead – Regulated Health Data Platforms

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect / Technical Lead to join a high-impact healthcare initiative focused on designing secure, scalable, and compliant health data platforms.
This role is ideal for a senior technical leader with deep experience in software architecture, healthcare interoperability, cloud platforms, and regulated data environments.
What You'll Do
- Own the end-to-end architecture of a regulated health-data platform.
- Design scalable data acquisition pipelines for clinical, wearable, and laboratory data.
- Architect consent management, permissioning, audit logging, and governance solutions.
- Translate healthcare regulatory requirements into technical architecture and implementation standards.
- Guide engineering teams and review technical decisions to ensure alignment between architecture, documentation, and implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate compliance and security risks.
- Support compliance readiness activities, including independent security and regulatory audits.
- Drive architectural decisions around distributed systems, data privacy, interoperability, and secure cloud infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Software Architecture or Technical Leadership roles.
- 3+ years of experience designing healthcare, health-tech, or other highly regulated data platforms.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, TEFCA, 42 CFR Part 2, GINA, and CMS/ONC interoperability requirements.
- Hands-on experience with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR and HL7.
- Experience designing distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions and architectural reviews.
- Professional English proficiency (written and spoken).

- AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent)
- Event-driven architectures
- Data lake and data warehouse design
- OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC)
- Microservices architecture
- CI/CD pipelines with automated compliance and quality gates
- Data anonymization and de-identification techniques, including k-anonymity and differential privacy concepts
