We are seeking a Senior Database Engineer to head the data tier. In this role, you will design, orchestrate, and validate automated recovery platforms across a diverse ecosystem of database technologies. You will bridge the gap between core database administration and automated infrastructure-as-code recovery solutions across AWS, GCP and Azure.
Responsibilities

Design and implement automated recovery architectures for polyglot persistence layers spanning relational, NoSQL and cloud-native distributed databases

Lead the team in building automated "clean room" recovery environments and automated data restoration pipelines

Act as the primary technical point of contact for the nearshore time zone

Collaborate with delivery management, cloud architects and the offshore engineering team

Orchestrate and validate automated recovery platforms across a diverse ecosystem of database technologies

Bridge the gap between core database administration and automated infrastructure-as-code recovery solutions
Requirements
-
3+ years of deep production-level experience managing and troubleshooting relational, NoSQL and NewSQL databases

Expertise in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle and MySQL

Proficiency in MongoDB and CockroachDB

Hands-on experience architecting database solutions within GCP, AWS and Azure

Skills in leveraging cloud storage primitives such as Cloud Storage Buckets, S3 and Blob Storage for immutable backup architectures

Proficiency in driving automation using Ansible for configuration management and Jenkins for orchestration pipelines

Understanding of backup verification, point-in-time recovery (PITR) at scale and air-gapped storage

Competency in data integrity validation

English proficiency at B2 level or higher
