IB MYP Math Teacher
The Madison International School, Country Merida, opens the position for IB MYP Mathematics: analysis and approaches and Mathematics: applications and interpretations teacher with the following responsibilities:
- Develop, lead and teach a rigorous and challenging Math course.
- Work collaboratively and reflectively with DP teachers to support vertical planning.
- Work with the DP, MYP and HS coordinators to administer the IB assessment and local requirements.
- Work with our MYP leadership group to monitor student progress.
- Collaborate with MYP duties as well as school activities and events.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Successful experience teaching in the IB Programme
- Recent training certificate in IB Math
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and others
- Ability to plan for differentiated instruction
- Ability to collaborate with all staff in our MYP in a positive manner
- Proven ability to develop successful academic programs
- Relevant professional development in teaching and learning.
- Proven ability to create learning units.
- Experience working in an IB school.
- Classroom management ability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Math or related subjects
- English Proficiency
- Successful experience teaching in the IB Programme
