Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to manage the monthly bookkeeping and financial reporting for multiple U.S.-based businesses.
This is not an entry-level bookkeeping role. We're looking for someone who understands accounting, enjoys solving problems, takes ownership of their work, and wants to become an important part of a growing U.S. accounting firm.
You'll work directly with our leadership team and play a key role in building Pacific Crest's Client Accounting Services division.
ResponsibilitiesMonthly Bookkeeping
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Reconcile credit card accounts
- Reconcile loan and liability accounts
- Record and categorize transactions
- Prepare adjusting journal entries
- Maintain accurate general ledgers
- Complete month-end close procedures
- Maintain fixed asset schedules
- Review financial data for completeness and accuracy
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss Statements
- Prepare Balance Sheets
- Prepare Cash Flow reports
- Review financial statements before client delivery
- Identify unusual trends or accounting issues
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting
Client Communication
- Request financial documentation from clients
- Communicate professionally with U.S.-based clients
- Maintain organized client records
- Coordinate with our tax advisory team
- Assist clients with bookkeeping-related questions
Process Improvement
- Follow standardized bookkeeping procedures
- Help improve internal workflows
- Identify opportunities for automation
- Assist with technology implementation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience supporting U.S.-based businesses.
- Strong QuickBooks Online experience
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- B2 Minimum Intermediate or advanced English (written and spoken )
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
