We are seeking a Senior Java Production Support Engineer to join a cross-functional scrum team supporting a large Wealth Management firm operating in a broker-dealer model. In this role, you will provide L3 application support for Java-based applications, perform minor and major enhancements, and contribute to the design and development of secure backend services and APIs.
Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain code for Java-based applications

Build backend microservices and REST APIs

Provide L3 application support and perform minor/major enhancements

Perform unit testing and conduct code reviews
-
Participate in Scrum ceremonies, estimation, and planning sessions

Mentor other developers and collaborate with peers

Work closely with the offshore team

Contribute to application documentation, including architecture documents
Requirements
-
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a similar field
-
3+ years of development work experience
-
Hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC
-
Proficiency in Spring Batch, Spring Integration, and Spring Data JPA
-
Knowledge of APIs and microservices architecture
-
Background in Kubernetes, SQL, and Log Management and Analysis
-
Familiarity with Apache Kafka
-
Understanding of secure backend services and API design and development
-
Skills in TDD, BDD, and Single Page Application design and development
-
Competency in full-stack application design and data modeling
-
Willingness to study legacy code and continuously learn
-
Proficient communication skills in English (B2 level or higher)
