Remote Personal Injury Case Manager
Job Type: Full-time, Remote
Starting Pay: $8.00–$10.00 USD per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Pacific Time
Custodio & Dubey LLP, a successful and growing Los Angeles personal injury law firm, is seeking an experienced Remote Personal Injury Case Manager to join our team.
This position requires at least three years of recent, direct experience managing California personal injury cases. We are looking for a proactive, highly organized professional who can independently manage cases, communicate effectively with clients, and help move claims toward successful settlements.
Applicants without recent California personal injury case-management experience will not be considered.
Required Experience
- At least three years of recent, direct personal injury case-management experience
- Experience handling personal injury cases based exclusively in California
- Proven experience with:
- Automobile accidents
- Dog bites
- Slip-and-fall incidents
- School-related injuries
- Other premises-liability claims
- Demonstrated settlement track record
- Experience managing cases from initial intake through settlement
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, policy limits, liability, and claims procedures
- Experience preparing settlement demands and assisting with settlement negotiations
- Experience coordinating medical treatment and doctor visits
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Excellent professional writing, grammar, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Open new case files and complete initial client contact
- Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout their cases
- Evaluate insurance coverage, liability issues, and available policy limits
- Communicate with insurance adjusters and monitor claim activity
- Handle property-damage claims
- Coordinate medical appointments and monitor clients’ treatment
- Communicate with doctors, medical offices, and other healthcare providers
- Obtain and review police reports, medical records, and billing statements
- Track medical treatment, outstanding records, liens, and case deadlines
- Prepare clear, persuasive settlement-demand packages
- Assist with settlement negotiations and maintain accurate settlement records
- Continuously monitor case progress and proactively address delays
- Maintain detailed and accurate notes in the firm’s case-management system
- Provide clients with professional, timely, and compassionate service
- Escalate significant case developments to the supervising attorney
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of California personal injury claims
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and its relevance to personal injury cases
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Strong English writing and proofreading skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and competing deadlines
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong client-service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow instructions, accept feedback, and collaborate with attorneys and staff
- Reliable computer, high-speed internet connection, and professional remote workspace
Technology Experience
Candidates should have experience using—or be comfortable learning—the following platforms:
- Filevine
- Slack
- GoTo
- RingCentral
- Microsoft Office
Recent Filevine experience is strongly preferred.

Compensation
Starting pay is $8.00–$10.00 USD per hour, based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, settlement history, and ability to manage California personal injury cases independently.
