Position Summary
We are looking for an Applications Engineer to provide technical support and application development for optoelectronic components and systems. This role will work closely with customers, sales, and engineering teams to ensure successful integration of products into customer applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for optoelectronic components such as laser diodes, photodiodes, LEDs, sensors, and optical systems.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Support troubleshooting, performance optimization, and failure analysis.
- Conduct optical and electrical testing to validate product performance.
- Deliver technical presentations, training, and documentation.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and product teams on product improvements and new product introductions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in optoelectronics, photonics, semiconductor devices, or sensing technologies.
- Strong knowledge of optical device principles and system integration.
- Experience with optical/electrical characterization tools and simulation software such as MATLAB, Python, Zemax, or COMSOL.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-oriented mindset and ability to work in cross-functional environments.

- Laser systems, optical sensors, or fiber-optic communications.
- Semiconductor packaging and thermal management.
- Industrial, automotive, medical, or defense optical applications.
- Embedded systems or firmware integration.
