We are expanding our commercial team in Mexico and are seeking a Sales Support Engineer to assist in customer development, quotation support, and technical coordination between customers, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
This role is ideal for an early-career engineer seeking to build a long-term career in technical sales and manufacturing business development.
Position Summary
The Sales Support Engineer will support the sales and business development team by managing RFQs, preparing quotations, coordinating technical inputs, and assisting with customer communication throughout quoting and program launch activities.
This position provides direct exposure to OEM and Tier 1 customers and serves as a clear pathway into Sales Engineer or Business Development roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Support RFQ preparation, costing, and quotation development
- Assist Sales Engineers and Account Managers with customer requests
- Coordinate technical feedback from engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams
- Review customer drawings, specifications, and requirements
- Prepare technical presentations and commercial proposals
- Track RFQ status and updates in CRM systems
- Support design-for-manufacturing (DFM) analysis and recommendations
- Participate in customer meetings and internal program reviews
- Assist with new product launch coordination and documentation
- Maintain organized communication with internal and external stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, quoting, or technical support
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- English proficiency (written and verbal)
- Willingness to travel within Mexico as needed
Preferred Experience
- Automotive or industrial manufacturing experience
- Exposure to metal stamping, tooling, injection molding, or assemblies
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plans
- Experience with OEM or Tier 1 suppliers
- Experience with quoting or cost estimation processes
- CRM or ERP system exposure
