Job Summary
This role is responsible for organizing and revising technical information, specifically printed image-only setup guides, compliance and regulatory notices, and warranty information, and actively participating in the development and technical aspects of hardware product development . The role includes designing documentation solutions of moderate complexity and collaborating with other designers to provide guidance and knowledge sharing. The role supports ongoing sustaining and new product development projects for the HP Poly Headset portfolio.
Responsibilities
Organizes, develops, and revises moderately structured technical information, such as reference, task, and summary information.
Participates in the design, development, integration, deployment/production support, and other technical aspects of applications.
Creates and revises compliance and regulatory documentation based on input from multiple teams.
Develops documentation strategies that adhere to company sustainability policy.
Designs analytics solutions with moderate complexity and services in the areas of optimization or predictive analytics.
Works with other designers across projects and provides guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing across teams.
Participates in the full development cycle, end to end, from design, implementation, documentation, to maintenance.
Codes, tests, debugs, configures, and documents data warehouse systems and ETL mappings, in collaboration with data architects.
Assists with the creation of training materials and operations guidance, ensuring consistent and accurate information dissemination.
Develops and maintains documentation of customer behaviors, motivations, and daily habits.
Provides guidance, mentoring, and training to individual contributors in lower-level roles, and contributes to their growth in the organization.
Impacts multiple teams and may act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process.
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Technical Communications, Graphic Design, User Experience (UX) , or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in technical communications, information strategy, graphic design, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
