Product Engineer — SMT (ICT/FCT/ATE)

Entry-level Product Engineer supporting SMT test activities. Works under supervision to help set up and validate test fixtures and machines for new projects, assist in technician task coordination, and help resolve abnormal testing issues during production while learning processes and best practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with setup, validation and basic maintenance of test fixtures, handlers and test machines for new projects.
- Execute validation checklists and document results under guidance; escalate findings to senior engineers.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities and help coordinate repairs/spare parts.
- Help assign and monitor daily tasks for MFTE technicians as instructed; report technician training or workload gaps.
- Support troubleshooting of abnormal test or product issues on the line (containment, data collection, escalate for root cause analysis).
- Maintain test documentation (work instructions, test logs, failure reports) and assist with first-article inspections and production ramp-up.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and learn cross-functional processes with mentoring from senior staff.
Minimum qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar engineering or technical role with hands‑on exposure to product testing, development or manufacturing.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Basic familiarity with SMT processes and common test fixtures (ICT/FCT/ATE) or demonstrated aptitude to learn quickly.
Desired skills:
- Strong willingness to learn, good mechanical/electrical troubleshooting aptitude.
- Organized, reliable, and able to follow procedures and checklists.
- Clear verbal and written communication; able to prepare simple technical documents.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); comfortable using data logs and basic measurement tools.
- Intermediate English is a plus.
- Willing to work in a manufacturing environment and participate in shift rotations if required.
