Job description:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards throughout the manufacturing process by maintaining the Quality Management System, leading internal and external audits, coordinating corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position works closely with production, engineering, customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer requirements and automotive industry standards.
This role also supports new product launches, manages process changes, analyzes quality data, implements problem-solving methodologies, and promotes a culture of quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the plant.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering or a related field.
· 3–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering within the automotive manufacturing industry.
· Experience implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems (IATF 16949 and ISO 14001).
· Proven experience coordinating internal, external, and customer audits.
· Strong knowledge of Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC and Control Plans).
· Experience leading Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, A3).
· Experience performing process audits, product audits, layered process audits, and compliance assessments.
· Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) and automotive quality standards.
· Experience in Root Cause Analysis, risk assessment, and quality improvement projects. · Experience supporting new product launches (APQP), engineering changes, and production transfers.
· Ability to analyze quality data, monitor KPIs, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
· Experience managing non-conforming material, customer complaints, warranty issues, and quality documentation.
· Knowledge of GD&T, inspection methods, and measurement systems.
· Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Customers, and Suppliers.
· Strong leadership, project management, organizational, and decision-making skills. · Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
· Advanced analytical thinking with a continuous improvement mindset.
· Advanced English (written and spoken).
