We are looking for a US Taxation Associate to support U.S. CPA firms with tax preparation, tax compliance, and related accounting support. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented tax professional with hands-on experience preparing U.S. individual and business tax returns.
The selected candidate will work closely with CPA firms and internal teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant tax deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare U.S. individual and business tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S.
- Prepare tax workpapers and supporting documentation.
- Review client financial statements and accounting records for tax preparation purposes.
- Assist with tax compliance, tax research, and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with CPA firms to resolve tax-related questions and missing information.
- Ensure timely completion of tax engagements according to internal and client deadlines.
- Maintain accuracy and quality standards in all tax preparation work.
- Support the team during peak tax season and help manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in U.S. taxation.
- Hands-on experience preparing U.S. tax returns, including 1040, 1065, 1120, and/or 1120S.
- Familiarity with U.S. tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience using tax software such as Drake, Lacerte, UltraTax, ProSeries, or similar platforms.
- Ability to prepare tax workpapers and organize supporting documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good English communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with U.S. CPA firms, accounting firms, KPOs, BPOs, or accounting outsourcing companies.
- CA Inter, CPA pursuing, EA pursuing, or similar accounting/tax qualification.
- Experience reviewing financial statements for tax preparation.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus.
- Ability to communicate professionally with internal teams and external CPA firm contacts.

The ideal candidate has practical experience preparing U.S. tax returns and understands the importance of accuracy, documentation, and deadlines in a CPA firm environment. This person should be comfortable working with financial records, identifying missing information, preparing workpapers, and supporting tax compliance processes for U.S.-based clients.
