Remote Team Solutions is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to join a leading electrical construction organization specializing in commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects. This position is ideal for professionals with strong Electrical BIM/VDC experience who enjoy leading coordination efforts, solving complex construction challenges, and collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.
As a BIM Coordinator, you will lead model coordination, oversee clash detection, support prefabrication workflows, and work closely with project managers, field leadership, and trade partners to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead BIM coordination and clash detection for assigned construction projects.
- Maintain project models using Revit while ensuring compliance with BIM standards and file management best practices.
- Coordinate with project managers, field teams, designers, general contractors, and trade partners throughout all project phases.
- Facilitate BIM coordination meetings and monitor project progress to identify and resolve coordination issues.
- Review models for constructability, quality, and accuracy before project release.
- Support prefabrication by delivering fabrication-ready models and spool packages.
- Mentor BIM Modelers and assist with project planning, staffing, and workflow coordination.
- Identify project risks and communicate solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain organized project documentation within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of BIM/VDC experience with project coordination responsibilities.
- Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Advanced proficiency with:
- Autodesk Revit
- Navisworks
- Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- AutoCAD
- Bluebeam
- Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, MEP coordination, and BIM workflows.
- Experience leading clash detection and constructability reviews.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coordinating mission-critical, data center, healthcare, commercial, or industrial construction projects.
- Autodesk Certified Professional (Revit or Navisworks).
- Experience integrating BIM with prefabrication workflows.
- Familiarity with Dynamo or BIM automation tools.
