As a Process Engineering Manager you will lead the Process Engineering team to ensure the optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for coatings products. The Process Engineering Manager will improve technical innovation, and collaboration to achieve quality, efficiency, safety, and cost targets across the plant.
You will report to Plant Manager.
Key Responsibilities
You will implement continuous improvement plans using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to systematically reduce waste, cycle times, and production costs across the plant.
Analyze process data and Measurements to detect inefficiencies, identify causes, and develop corrective and preventive action plans that sustain long-term operational performance.
You will oversee scale-up processes from R&D to full production, ensuring the a smooth and controlled technology transfers that maintain product quality and process consistency.
Define technical requirements and lead engineering projects — including equipment upgrades, new line installations, and plant expansions — managing scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
You will work with the Quality Assurance team to ensure all manufacturing processes meet internal standards and customer specifications, minimizing deviations and rejections.
Support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance activities applicable to coatings manufacturing, ensuring processes operate within regulatory and corporate safety requirements.
Implement new technologies, equipment, and raw materials to lead process performance improvements and maintain the plant's and technical capabilities.
Promote and improve the use of data-driven decision-making tools to anticipate quality deviations, improve process parameters, and promote proactive rather than reactive process management.
Help implement Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and ERP platforms (SAP) to enhance process visibility, traceability, and operational efficiency.
Participate in new product development projects by providing process feasibility assessments and manufacturability input, bridging the gap between formulation and full-scale production.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt
PMP (Project Management Professional)
+5 years of experience in chemical or coatings manufacturing
3+ years of experience managing teams and engineering projects from conception to implementation.
Knowledge of coatings formulation, production processes
Fluent English
