About the role
The Specialist, Supply Chain Management plays a key role in supporting supply chain execution and continuity by managing commodities, coordinating sourcing activities, and ensuring material availability to meet production and customer demand. This role directly impacts operational performance by supporting Transfer of Work initiatives, inventory optimization, supplier performance, and on‑time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
As a Specialist, Supply Chain Management, you’ll be responsible for:
Supporting Transfer of Work (TOW) activities and sourcing initiatives with contract manufacturers.
Managing assigned commodities, including planning, procurement, and expediting of components to meet production and sales schedules.
Collaborating with cross‑functional teams such as Sales, Scheduling, Production, Customer Service, Quality, Sourcing, Finance, Shipping/Receiving, and Engineering to ensure effective supply chain operations.
Maintaining optimal inventory levels through accurate purchase orders and schedule agreements to ensure on‑time delivery.
Analyzing MRP and SAP data to support inventory targets and supplier performance, including report generation and root cause analysis.
Resolving Accounts Payable issues to ensure timely and accurate supplier payments.
Managing supplier quality issues, including coordination of returns and corrective actions for non‑conforming materials.
Supporting management with assigned projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
As a minimum you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Buyer, Materials Planner, or related supply chain roles, including exposure to Accounts Payable.
Strong experience with MRP systems and inventory management.
Proficiency in SAP (preferred).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
Experience supporting Transfer of Work (TOW) or supplier transitions.
Experience working with contract manufacturers.
Exposure to Power BI or similar reporting tools.
