In this role you will be responsible for leading strategic cost reduction initiatives across Autoliv's products, manufacturing operations, and supply chain while maintaining quality, safety, performance, and customer expectations. You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, Finance, and Supplier teams to identify and implement opportunities that improve profitability through value engineering, design optimization, process improvements, and supplier collaboration. Additionally, you will drive Design-to-Value (D2V) strategies, support internal and external negotiation activities through cost analysis and insights, enable organizational capability through cost management tools and training programs, and ensure cost-saving targets are achieved throughout the product lifecycle, from New Order Intake (NOI) through End-of-Life (EOL).

Lead, prioritize, and manage cross-functional cost reduction initiatives to achieve annual savings and profitability targets.
Drive alignment between Design-to-Value (D2V) and Negotiation teams to maximize cost savings opportunities and ensure coordinated execution.
Identify and remove barriers, facilitate decision-making, and accelerate the implementation of cost improvement actions across the organization.
Enable organizational capability by training stakeholders on cost improvement methodologies and tools, including ECAN, VEVA App, and Power BI.
Monitor cost-saving performance, track progress against targets, and provide regular reporting and insights to leadership on results and opportunities.
If you have/are:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related discipline).
Proven experience in Automotive Product Development, including Steering Wheels, Driver Airbags, Automotive Interior Class A components, product design, validation, and engineering change management.
Fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global and cross-functional environment.
Strong technical expertise in product design, CAD tools, Change Point Analysis (CPA), and structured problem-solving methodologies.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes (Die Casting, RIM, Injection Molding, Stamping, and Assembly) with demonstrated ability to develop business cases and drive cost optimization initiatives.
