Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Spanish-Mandarin-English Translator to join our team. As a translator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective communication between Spanish, Mandarin & English-speaking audiences. The ideal candidate will possess fluency in both Spanish, English and Mandarin, as well as a deep understanding of both cultures.
Responsibilities:
- Translate written documents, including emails, reports, policies, procedures, technical documents, and other business materials among Mandarin, Spanish, and English as required.
- Interpret verbal communication accurately during meetings, conferences, training sessions, audits, customer visits, and other events as needed.
- Ensure that translated materials maintain the style, tone, intent, and context of the original content.
- Collaborate with colleagues and departments to clarify translation requirements and ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Stay updated on industry-specific terminology and linguistic nuances in Mandarin, Spanish, and English.
- Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure grammatical correctness, clarity, and readability.
- Handle confidential information and sensitive business data with discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
- Meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple assignments and projects simultaneously.
- Collect, organize, consolidate, and analyze operational data and information, and prepare management reports, meeting minutes, KPI summaries, and other business documents as required.
- Prepare presentations, spreadsheets, reports, and other documentation using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to support daily operations and management decision-making.
- Support communication and coordination between local employees, expatriates, management, customers, suppliers, and external parties as required.
- Assist in preparing training materials, audit documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, work instructions, and other company documents in Mandarin, Spanish, and English.
- Provide administrative support for meetings, projects, audits, and special assignments as requested by management.
Requirements:
- Fluency in Mandarin, Spanish, and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in all three languages.
- Proven experience as a translator and/or interpreter, with a strong portfolio of previous work preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or certifications in Translation, Linguistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in translation software and tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong ability to collect, organize, consolidate, analyze, and prepare reports, presentations, and various business-related documents.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity to linguistic and cultural nuances across Mandarin, Spanish, and English-speaking environments.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information and sensitive business data with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and project requirements.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Preferred Competencies
- Knowledge of manufacturing terminology, production processes, quality systems, EHS requirements, and business operations.
- Experience supporting customer audits, government inspections, training programs, and cross-functional projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across different cultures and organizational levels.
